Terms of use
These terms govern access to the Delay Review website at delayreview.site and to any material purchased from it. Using the site indicates acceptance of them. Anyone who does not accept them should not use the site.
1. Eligibility
The site is intended for adults. Use is restricted to persons aged 18 or over. Material published here is not directed at minors and no account or purchase may be made by a minor. Where a purchase is found to have been made by a person under 18, it will be refunded and access withdrawn.
2. Nature of the material
Delay Review publishes summaries of academic research for general information. The material is educational and descriptive. It does not constitute psychological, medical, clinical, legal or financial advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind between the reader and Delay Review or any person associated with it.
Nothing published here is a method, system, programme, protocol or sequence of steps, and nothing published here is offered as producing any particular result. No representation is made that any reader will obtain any outcome from reading it. Individual circumstances vary and are not known to the publication.
3. Licence to use
Where material is purchased, the purchaser receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and read it for personal, non-commercial purposes. That licence does not permit:
- Redistribution, resale, sublicensing or public posting of the material, in whole or in part.
- Sharing of access credentials or download links with third parties.
- Use of the material to train, fine-tune or evaluate an automated or machine-learning system.
- Removal or alteration of any attribution or notice contained in the material.
Articles on the open library may be quoted for the purposes of commentary, criticism, teaching or news reporting, with attribution to Delay Review and a link to the source page.
4. Intellectual property
The text, layout, stylesheet, illustrations and the name Delay Review are the property of Delay Review and are protected under Brazilian Law nº 9.610/1998 and applicable international copyright treaties. Research findings summarised here belong to the researchers and publishers cited; the summaries themselves are original text.
Requests to reproduce or translate material beyond ordinary quotation may be sent to support@delayreview.site.
5. Availability
The site is provided on an "as available" basis. Delay Review does not warrant uninterrupted access and may modify, suspend or withdraw any part of the site or the catalogue. Where paid material is withdrawn during an active access period, the affected purchase is refunded in proportion to the unused period.
6. Purchases and payment
Prices are shown at checkout in the applicable currency and include any taxes stated there. Payment is processed by a third-party payment processor; Delay Review does not receive or store card details. The processor's own terms apply to the payment transaction itself.
Refunds are governed by the refund policy.
7. Payment disputes and chargebacks
Where a charge appears unfamiliar or unexpected, contacting support@delayreview.site first is faster than a bank dispute: a refund within the stated window is issued without requiring a reason, and typically clears sooner than a chargeback.
Where a chargeback is opened, Delay Review will respond to the processor with the transaction record, the access record and the correspondence history. Access to purchased material is suspended while a dispute is open and is restored if the dispute is resolved in favour of the transaction. Repeated disputes may result in refusal of future purchases. Nothing in this clause limits any statutory right to dispute an unauthorised transaction.
8. Acceptable use
Use of the site to attempt unauthorised access, to scrape at a rate that degrades service, to introduce malicious code, or to impersonate the publication is prohibited and may result in blocking.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Delay Review is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from use of the site or the material, and any direct liability is limited to the amount paid for the material in question. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code (Lei nº 8.078/1990) or, for readers in the European Union or the United Kingdom, under applicable consumer legislation.
10. Third-party links
Links to journals, publishers and other outside sources are provided as references. Delay Review does not control those sites and is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The date at the head of the page reflects the current version. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the revised terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federative Republic of Brazil. Disputes are subject to the courts of Brazil, save that a consumer resident elsewhere retains any right to bring proceedings in the courts of their own place of residence where local law confers it.
13. Contact
All notices under these terms may be sent to support@delayreview.site.
